The X2 Method
 
X2 have an efficient 5 Point Consultative Sales Method. This is a key system in the development of your client base.

The 5 Stages are:

  1. Prospect Lead Generation: With 110 lead generation strategies, some low cost or even no cost approaches, your lead generation strategy will typically be a mix that is aligned to your goals and budget.
  2. Prospect Fact Find: Involves a simple and very effective Gap Analysis, Suitability Assessment and Dollarised Benefit Summary. This is an important prospect qualification process. It quickly focuses both you and your prospect on their core objectives, what the projected benefits are and their level of motivation.
  3. Project Vision: Communicating the vision and reinforcing the commercial outcomes and benefits is typically all it takes. Whether in a document or a presentation format, you are asking for acknowledgement at every step. When executed well this stage includes the effective project scope and a simple close.
  4. Project Scope: This stage is designed to define the digital landscape, process flow and elements required to put the digital strategy together.  Typically it would involve completing suitable design briefs, a wireframe and the inclusion of the various design components. From this the designers and production team commence the building of the digital solution.
  5. Project Management: Using web-based project management tools and an iterative and transparent development process the project is completed and delivered.
 
While each stage has several discrete components and individual steps, the X2 Method is well documented and becomes second nature after the first few projects.

Rarely does it stop with the initial project. Subsequent aspects of any client engagement could involve:
  • Staged Implementation (eg: website then database building then email marketing etc)
  • Segmented Offers (eg: SEO, ECommerce, Translation, Alliance Marketing etc)
  • Post Production Activities (eg: Training, Copywriting, Strategy Expansion, SEM etc)
